In fourth grade, students continue to grow as readers, writers, mathematicians, and problem solvers. In reading and writing, students explore a variety of texts and work on sharpening your writing by organizing ideas clearly, using descriptive details, and strengthening grammar, spelling, and vocabulary. In math, students deepen their understanding of numbers and operations. They also learn how to apply math strategies to real-world situations, helping them become confident and flexible thinkers. Students dive into the studies of Virginia, including Virginia’s history from the first people and early settlers to the founding of the United States and beyond. The fourth grade year will be full of opportunities for students to challenge themselves, work with classmates, and celebrate their progress. The fourth grade team comprised of Mrs. Burke, Mrs. Gordon, Mrs. Jackson, and Mrs. Lewis can’t wait to see all the amazing things our students will accomplish! #teamcundiff
